In short, Dr. Littlefield makes the astounding assertion that he can bring the dead back to life. But, as is obvious, he qualified his assertion with the declaration that his methods are inoperative where death has been occasioned by tissue or organic dysfunction which cannot be repaired or replaced. The Indiana physician asserts that the secret of life, in substance, is volatile magnetism.
In demonstrating his theory the doctor employs a solution of saline origin, with salt as the basis, saturated with oleoresin and exposed for several hours to an atmosphere of free ammonia. The chemical thus formed, he declares, is an exact reproduction of conditions existing in the human body.
Here, however the volatile magnetism is drawn into the body from the atmosphere through the lungs and finding present in body tissue mineral compounds the potent atmosphere is at once absorbed, held in bounds, and later compounded by natural processes with the tissue and organic formations. In other words, by securing through artificial means the solution which has proved so effectual in his experiments, the doctor asserts he is only duplicating on a small but comprehensive scale what occurs in the human body when air enters normal lungs and becomes the life-giving atmosphere of a normal body.
Having secured this saline solution, Dr. Littlefield reduces it to a powder. It is this powder he has employed throughtout his long course of experiments. For instance, having put to death a dog or cat by browing and allowed the corpse to remain long enough to convince anyone following his investigations that all life is extinct.
Dr. Littlefield takes the corpse and, without preparation of any kind, places it upon a heated stone or porcelain plate, brought to a temperature corresponding to that of the normal body, and covers it thoroughly with a light layer of the powder.
Within three or four minutes from the time the powder has been coated over the dead body, signs of life manifest themselves, and within fifteen minutes after the resuscitating methods were begun, in every instance, the subject has returned to normal life.
There is no claim made to the creation of anything. The claim is the discovery of how Mind cooperates with Energy and Matter in the production of living things, and their endowment with functions, faculties and moral qualities - good and bad.
The law of energy agreement I have expressed as "Vibratory Harmony"; that is, equal in rate of vibration. While agreement in material composition is expressed as "Chemical Equilibrium," that is, balanced in material proportions.
If now the material proportions are exactly those necessary to give expression to the rate of vibration of the vital force, and this rate corresponds to the rate of vibrations of a mind-image, that that image will become a living form whether it be reptile or human. This necessary law of agreement dominates all organice nature, from the amoeba, to man.
This power of physical embodiment, of things desired, constitutes the real arcane science of the Ancients.
The distinction the reader would draw between cause and effect is the reason for making them. The physical body is the effect. The mind-image and the power it used to embody itself in an organized form is the cause. The constitution and nature of this cause are the occult phenomena which modern physical science cannot demonstrate.

Dr. Schuessler observed that the human body, when reduced to ashes contained only 12 minerals in the form of cell salts.
His research, eventually called the Schuessler’s Biochemic Theory, integrates the knowledge of the human body’s cellular structure and the use of mineral salts, or cell salts as a system of medicine to fortify or energize the individual cells of the body.
These cell salts are vital nutritional elements of the cell and lacking any one or more of these minerals will prevent the cells from up taking the proper nutrients supplied by digestion and the blood. This imbalances the body chemistry opening it up to the diseased state.
The underlying principles of Biochemistry are founded upon simple but eternal law, which is easily comprehended by searchers after knowledge. As grows the plant - dependent upon the equilibrium of its component parts - so the human system is dependent upon the quantity and equalization of the organice and inorganic constituents.
A deficiency of one or more of thse, will cause a symptom or CRY for the needed food.
Biochemistry is not Homeopathy. There is a wide difference between 'similia similibus curantur' and suppying deficiences with the exact material lacking. Symptomology figures in the biochemic treatment only as cells for the lacking inorganic workers, and not from the standpoint of similia.
The chemical composition of nearly every fluid and tissue in the human body has long been known, but until Biochemistry was introduced, no practical use had been made of this knowledge in the treatment of the sick.
No doctor KNOWS, with any degree of certainty, the action of the drugs he gives. He prescribes simply AS HE WAS TAUGHT, and is often surprised when his patients survice his treatments. All he knows about his medicines is that they are poisons, and that when administered under certain conditions they USUALLY produce certain symptoms.
An analysis of the blood shows it to contain organic and inorganic matter. The organic constituents are sugar, fats and albuminous substances. The inorganic constituents are water and certain minerals, commonly called Cell-Salts. Of a living human being, water constitutes over seven-tenths, the cell-salts about one-twentieth, organic matter the remainder.
Now it is known that the cell-salts are the vital portion of the body, the workers, the builders; that the water and organic substance are simply inert matter used by these salts in building the cells of the body.
Should a defiency occur in one or more of these workers, of whom there are twelve, some abnormal condition arises. These abnormal conditions are known by the general term disease, and according as they manifest themselves in different ways and in different parts of the body, they have been designated by various names. Every disease which afflicts the human race is due to a lack of one or more of these inorganic workers. Every pain or unpleasant sensation indicates a lack of some inorganic constituent of the blood. Health and strength can be maintained only so long as the system is properly supplied with these cell-salts.
